Chinese medicine has been used in Asia for about 3000 years. The idea behind Chinese medicine is the qi (chi) or body energy can be directed so that it moves smoothly through the body's meridians to nourish and support the organ systems. When qi gets "stuck" it results in pain, chronic disease and emotional disorders. Fine hair-thin needles are used to stimulate the flow of energy and rebalance the functions of the body. Acupuncture works on many levels which include the mind, the emotions, the body and the spirit.
